BOOM!

Don't Settle For OK

You may remember a while back that I wrote an article about an atheist billboard going up in Oklahoma that was about Thomas Gore being the first atheist senator
(I still think the Gore reference is lost on everyone).

Well as it turns out, the location they originally wanted was rejected by Whistler Outdoor Advertising because of its racy content. They not only rejected to putting the sign up, but when they saw that the sign went up on a rival company's billboard they were so offended they felt they had to put up two responding ads.

... This just makes me laugh. It's like they're trying to sell religion as a product on the basis that it comes fully loaded with more features. The other billboard they put up read "God is more than OK in Oklahoma" which you can see in the video of the newscast.

What is the point exactly? The atheist billboard is an actual advertisement. Its purpose was to gather other atheists in the community into their organization through their website. These two responding billboards are not advertisements though. They weren't put up by a Christian organization that wanted to convert people. It was put up by the billboard company itself as what seems to be nothing more than some snarky comments.

  1. Hey man, I've heard that going with God gets you a confusing user manual and kinda shitty customer support. I've got friends who haven't gotten replies to their inquiries for YEARS
